  •       Monitors, supports, and provides feedback on the implementation of reform programs.

  •       Supports and monitors the discharge of responsibilities by security councils and security sectors.

  •      Works with institutions to strengthen human rights management and promote democracy.

  •       Examines and provides comments on draft laws prepared by institutions and the Regional Justice Bureau.

  •      Offers legal opinions and solutions to the regional executive sectors and the President on legal matters.

  •      Coordinates peace and development activities in border areas of neighboring regions.

  •      Investigates administrative complaints and appeals, providing decisions and recommendations.

  •      Researches the causes of complaints and grievances, proposing lasting solutions.

  •      Builds capacity for implementers working in complaints and grievance structures.

  •      Reviews pardon requests from Pardon board and submit them to the President.

  •      Supports and monitors complaints and grievance structures at all levels.

  •      Analyzes and provides feedback on general security reports.

  •      Monitors and supports justice system reform programs.

  •      Conducts feasibility studies on good governance packages.

  •      Prevents human trafficking by supporting various institutional activities.

  •      Identifies and expands best practices in governance.
