The Central Ethiopian Regional State is one of the regional states that formed the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Following the referendum decision of the Southern Ethiopian Regional State to separate from the former Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Regional State and organize itself as an independent regional state, the Central Ethiopian Regional State became an independent regional state on August 19, 2024, based on the approval of the people and constitutional amendments.

The Central Ethiopian Region is a region that encompasses the Gurage, Hadiya, Siltie, Kembata, Halaba, Tembaro, Yem, Mareko, Qebena, and Donga nations, ethnic groups, and other peoples. The region is divided into seven zones: Hadiya, Gurage, Siltie, East Gurage, Kembata, Halaba, and Yem zones, and three special districts: Tembaro, Mareko, and Qebena special districts.

The Central Ethiopian region has renewed its pledge to work with greater diligence and entrepreneurial spirit than ever before to play its part in building a united Ethiopia, a nation that is bound by common values, steadfast in common traditions, and striving to elevate its hopes through shared dreams.

I take this opportunity to call on all citizens to contribute their part, as each of us has a crucial role in the process of realizing an Ethiopia that maintains a balance between identity and Ethiopian unity, operating on the basis of the self-governance and collective governance frameworks established by the federal system. 

I would also like to remind you that we are at a time when our entire people are expected to work together with determination and determination to consolidate peace and accelerate development, as lasting peace is the foundation for sustainable development and sustainable nation-building.

Our country, Ethiopia, is a country with many diverse potentials and blessings, and let us strengthen the efforts we have begun to realize food security sovereignty through joint efforts and complete its sovereignty and national dignity!
